You, too, can grow these very same skills by working through this basic level video drawing and color theory course! I will lead you through key drawing & art skill exercises with watercolor, chalk & charcoal.

Who is this course for?

Beginners of all ages (3-100)

In the drawing portion of the course, you’ll learn:

• The foundational mindset for all drawing
• Be helped to perceive shapes and lines better
• Proper mechanical skills & techniques, and 
• How to use different drawing tools

In the color portion of the course, you’ll learn:

• Your own relationship with each individual color family
• Color harmonies
• Optical color vs. local color
• Atmospheric perspective and how it affects the colors you see
• How shadows and tints change color hues and values
• Watercolor specific paint mixing techniques
• How to use color to convey emotions and moods
• How to compose images based on pleasing color palettes
  

The variety of media and methods in these 54+ in-depth videos will strengthen all your drawing muscles- eyes, mind, arm, shoulder, etc. Unlike other courses that are heavy on the “art jargon” and low on the application, this course is intensely practical. It takes big concepts and ideas and delivers them in bite-sized portions so you and your students can get right into the hands-on application.

Through each video you will be helped in each specific skill with clear explanation, and you’ll be motivated to keep a habit of drawing and painting by working a suggested corresponding prompt for your own individual growth between video lessons.
