Intermediate Drawing & Color Theory

This 50+ video art course pairs my intermediate drawing course called Brush, Chalk & Charcoal: Framing Your World with my beginner color theory course, called Color Connections: Color Theory for Beginners.

If you or your students have completed the pre-requisite Brush, Chalk & Charcoal: Foundations in Drawing, and if you're ready for more, this is the perfect course for you! You'll grow your art and design skills by working through this batch of videos all about drawing and color theory. I will lead you through key drawing and color exercises with watercolor, chalk & charcoal.

Beginners of all ages for the color portion; and those who've already taken my beginner drawing course and are ready for more.

In the drawing course portion, you’ll:

• How shadows and tints change color hues and values
• Watercolor specific paint mixing techniques
• How to use color to convey emotions and moods
• How to compose images based on pleasing color palettes

Unlike other courses that are heavy on the “art jargon” and low on the application, this course is intensely practical. It takes big concepts and ideas and delivers them in bite-sized portions so you and your students can get right into the hands-on application.

Through each video you will be helped in each specific skill with clear explanation, and you’ll be motivated to keep a habit of drawing and painting by working a suggested corresponding prompt for your own individual growth in between video lessons.
