[GROUP COURSE] Color Connections: Color Theory For Beginners
In these 24 video lessons, your group will learn the relationships between colors and how we interact with them! This is a beginner-level color theory course. Color is all around us--in nature, in our homes, in our art. But it can seem like a mystery how to start with the base colors in your tubes of paint and end up with the rich color expressions seen in the world around you. This course unlocks the secrets of how colors relate and interact, enabling you to craft vibrant images with ease.
This course takes big concepts and ideas and delivers them in bite-sized portions so you and your students can get right into the hands-on application.
* This group course is for students from multiple households going through the material together. This allows learning co-ops and informal (non-legal-entity) educational groups to use this material together. See more details below.
Who is this course for?
Beginners of all ages in a group educational setting.
In this course, you'll learn the relationships between colors and how we interact with them. I make complex color theory simple and approachable for learners of all ages. While this course is meant to be completed primarily in a homeschool setting with a parent and a few students, many adults have taken my courses for their own learning, too. Students from elementary to high school will have no trouble understanding and following these art lessons, and you might find that learners as young as 4 or 5 can join the adventure as well!
Unlike other courses that are heavy on the “art jargon” and low on the application, this course is intensely practical. It takes big concepts and ideas and delivers them in bite-sized portions so you and your students can get right into the hands-on application.
Check out what parents and teachers have said about my courses:
Click here for sample videos!“My son and I are LOVING your course. He has some difficulty with spatial awareness, which can make handwork of all types frustrating for him. This is enjoyable for him while also developing more strength in his hands.
He’s also much happier to paint something from nature now, and we’re only a few lessons in. The simple techniques definitely build confidence :)
It’s also renewing my love for painting, which I haven’t done for about twenty years. Thank you for making your videos so easy to fit into a school day. It allows us to enjoy more of the variety the Charlotte Mason Methods aim for.”
— Laura
“I just have to say I was looking for art courses for myself and children, and kept feeling disappointed with what we were finding and paying for. A friend mentioned your courses and we are choosing you. I was looking through a lot of your social media highlights last night and I just felt at home. Just saying thank you for doing what you’re doing for children and homeschool families.”
— Kristin
“I've just begun teaching my niece and nephew, both of whom have Autism and ADHD. My niece is 9 and very much a perfectionist. She has been very staunch about hating to paint so I wasn't sure how brush drawing lessons would go. We've been using your program, and from the second lesson on she has been incredibly proud of her work and signs it every day. Thank you so much for your program! It is so gentle and helpful for my neuro-divergent students.”
— Emily

*Group Course License Information:
Who can use this group license?
Any informal group such as a co-op or other small group learning community that is not an official non-profit or business-organized education group. The only requirement is that two or more families worth of students are gathering in one place for learning, and the instruction is not done for profit or under a legally organized entity.
How many families can use a single “Group Course” license?
There really isn’t a limit on how many families can be involved. All I ask is that this license be used for informal groups that actively meet together for learning. This license is not meant to be a “group buy” where several families go in on it with the intention of using it separately in each’s schooling. Separate families must purchase single copies of the course.
All members within said group are able to duplicate and use the videos and PDFs outside of formal meet-ups to aid in comprehension. However, the primary teaching of the course under this license should happen in a group setting.
Can schools and conferences use this “Group Course” license?
Schools, businesses, organized non-profits, and conferences are not covered by the scope of this license. If you are one of these and want to use the course, I will talk with you individually to determine the best and most cost-effective way to license the course for your needs. Contact me here for more information.
